Interim Executive Director
With over 25 years of experience in career and employment services, Nimo has worked with a diverse client population over the years. She has managed a number of school-to-work transition initiatives, as well as employment programs for at-risk youth, newcomers and internationally trained professionals. She has worked in partnership with organizations to address the needs of youth in priority neighbourhoods, including a Pre-apprenticeship Training Program in collaboration with Centennial College. As the Director of Tropicana Employment Centre, Nimo has successfully managed the implementation of a continuous improvement performance measurement framework. As part of this implementation, Nimo led the development of systems and processes in order to effectively manage and guide service delivery. Currently Nimo sits on the ONESTEP Board, representing the Central Region in advocating for the network and continuously consulting with the government on issues that concern the employment training sector.
Nimo graduated from York University and holds a Certificate in Career Development Practitioner from George Brown College. More recently, Nimo completed an eight month Leadership Course through the Schulich School of Business at York University. Nimo has a wealth of knowledge on employment trends and issues affecting at risk youth. She is passionate and committed in making a difference in the lives of the clients we serve.
