Presents Uplifting Spirits is a fun-filled celebration of Caribbean cuisine where guests are invited to move through a variety of food and beverage stations to sample both savoury and sweet dishes. This year, Tropicana has a special guest host to entertain guests all evening long, Kerry-Lee Crawford from G98.7’s Steps After Dark radio show. Tropicana Community Services has launched two scholarship funds for 2017! The Robert K. Brown Scholarship fund was first established in 2000 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Tropicana Community Services. This scholarship is open to residents of the Greater Toronto Area who are between the ages of 16 -29 years old and of African or Caribbean heritage. Applicants must also be accepted or attending post-secondary institution. New for this year, is the Dr. Gervan Fearon Graduate Studies Scholarship for students that have acceptance or are enrolled in post-secondary institution for post-graduate studies.
