Jonathan Wong is a physician at the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, where he is completing a fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology. His clinical work focuses on the management of children born with complex congenital heart disease and his scholarly research investigates the effects of social determinants of health on cardiometabolic risk.
Dr. Wong is of Jamaican and Trinidadian descent and was previously a Jamaican National Swimming Team member and current national record holder. He represented Jamaica at numerous senior international competitions, like the Swimming World Championships (Manchester 08’, Rome 09’) and the Pan American Games (Rio de Janeiro 07’).
An advocate for diversity and health equality, Jonathan focuses on research and clinical care with an aim to maximize potential for vulnerable child and youth populations.
