Let’s all make an effort to keep moving.
Thank you for taking a moment to consider making your move for an act of kindness by helping us this holiday season. It’s an easy way to bring a smile to someone’s face and make the holidays a little brighter. If you can, here are the various ways you can get involved and help Tropicana Community Services continue to do the work we do.
Annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive
The research shows that Black households in Canada are more than twice as likely as white households to have trouble putting food on the table. Tropicana Community Services has stepped up to support the community and help change the issue of food insecurity in the Black communities. The Food and Toy drive has become a staple in the lives of our clients.
Harvest Share Food Security Program (Food Bank)
Tropicana takes in donations from various food suppliers, groceries and restaurants and redistributes it to families in the Scarborough area facing food insecurity—28.4% of Black households in Canada are food insecure. We need volunteers, as well as donations to continue this great initiative.
Volunteers are essential at all levels of Tropicana’s operations
