Caribbean Lime is the amalgamation of the Women Empowering Women Support Network and Gentlemen’s Forum—Leadership by Design groups. Established in September 2020, it provides psychosocial education, recreation and social activities, as well as food or income security services for the agency’s seniors (ages 50+).
The aim of Caribbean Lime is to improve networking and reduce barriers to resources by promoting mental health, wellness, and social inclusion. Services are provided through a cultural and linguistic lens recognizing the existence of anti-Black racism to offer participants a safe place where they can relate as equals, know that they fit in, engage in ethnocentric initiatives, and feel empowered.
