Tropicana Community Services Organization is excited to announce the winners of its annual scholarships.
Tropicana’s Scholarship Committee selected two outstanding candidates to receive the Robert K. Brown and Dr. Gervan Fearon scholarships.

On Tuesday, August 4, Elijah Gyansa was announced as the recipient of the Robert K. Brown Scholarship and awarded $1,500. Elijah is committed to obtaining his medical degree and becoming a neurosurgeon, to help patients live in a more purposeful way. Miya Kagan-Cassidy is the recipient of the Dr. Gervan Fearon Graduate Studies Scholarship and was awarded with $1,000 in early September. Miya is on the path to pursuing her master’s degree in social work, to become an ally and confidante for young people. She is proud to be a first-generation University graduate and dedicated to supporting Tropicana through her research into structural social services.
