The Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer 310B Pre-Apprenticeship L-1 Program is tuition free, as it is funded by the Government of Ontario, and is designed as a stepping-stone to finding a full apprenticeship for its participants. This program runs for 30 weeks; the in-class portion runs from April to August, and the work placement runs from September to November.

Eligibility:

18 to 30 years of age
Legally entitled to work in Canada (with social insurance (SIN) card)
OSSD (Grade 12 diploma) or equivalent
Must be able to commit to 30 weeks of training

Program Details:

6 weeks academic upgrading TDSB/ESU & Pre-employment training at Centennial College, Ashtonbee Campus
Level-1 apprenticeship training
- 12 weeks technical training at Centennial College, Ashtonbee Campus
- 12-weeks paid work placement at a body shop
Free toolkit and course materials
Free TTC Presto Pass during in-class school session

Requirements:

To submit an application you must be 18 to 30 years old at the time of your application, and will require the following:

High School Transcripts, Equivalency Certificate, or High School Diploma (OSSD or GED) or Equivalent
Resume (include volunteer work)
3 non-relative references

If accepted, you will need to provide the following before starting the program:

SIN Card
Valid driver’s license
