netWORKS

Be a mentor and inspiration to youth.

The netWORKS program is a United Way program that gives young people the means to participate in career-oriented networking situations and receive mentorship. The program aims to open doors for young people, allowing them to develop professional networks and to connect with professionals in a variety of employment fields to help them choose and develop their own career paths with their guidance.

The netWORKS program offers youth:

  • Group networking sessions
  • Group mentoring sessions
  • 1:1 networking opportunities
  • 1:1 mentoring opportunities

Youth participants:

  • Gain career role models
  • Expand their professional network
  • Get real life advice on how to find a job
  • Get information about the corporate and other work environments
  • Get feedback about career ideas and job search strategies

Eligibility Criteria

Tropicana's Employment Centre programs and services are available to residents of Ontario, Canadian citizens, permanent residents, convention refugees and refugee claimants with valid work permit. Clients must be out of school/out of work or only working or studying part- time and not registered currently with any other community employment centre.
