Gentlemen’s Forum—Leadership by Example
Gentlemen’s Forum was launched in November 2017 to provide a space for the agency’s men ages 18 and over, particularly from the Black, African, and Caribbean community, to share their experiences of gender relations, cultural identify and leadership. Through activities relating to Father’s Day and International Men’s Day, participants discuss topics around life choices for health and well-being, improving gender and equity issues, promoting positive role modelling and parenting, contributions to the community, addressing anti-Black racism, and building community safety. The discussions highlight opportunities where men (along with their female counterparts) can provide leadership by example to our Black, African, and Caribbean children and youth that strengthen the educational, economic, social, and familial institutions within our community.
