The steel pan/steelpan is the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago. This program teaches participants how to play this wildly popular instrument in an encouraging environment.

Important Details

  1. Complete and submit the form below to start your registration.
  2. Once submitted, a Tropicana representative will contact you in 1–2 business days and provide you with the necessary administrative forms to complete. 
  3. As Tropicana operates with the support of funders/sponsors, you will need to supply additional information for our reporting requirements. All personal information is kept confidential. 
  4. Once your registration is confirmed, a representative will assist you with the payment process.

Please note your program registration is not complete until it is confirmed by Tropicana.

Schedule: Every Saturday of the 8-week term (There is no class on Thanksgiving Weekend October 7, 2023.). 
Beginner Class: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Winter Session: January 13 – March 2. 
Location: Tropicana Community Services Head-office,  1385 Huntingwood Drive, Scarborough ON, M1S 3J1
Age: 9-65+
Cost: Lessons cost $80 per student, per term. There is no discount or reduction of fees for individuals who start after the term begins.

Each class has a capacity limit of 15 participants
